About

I am the current director for the Center for the Study of Race and Ethnicity in America at Brown University. I also am a visiting lecturer in Ethnic Studies. I have taught American Indian Studies at Brown. I now teach a course on empire, race and gender. I serve as both the concentration and honors thesis adviser for Ethnic Studies.

At University of New Mexico, I taught in the American Studies department, the Chicano/Hispano/Mexicano Department, the English Department and in Women's Studies. I do hope to get back to the Southwest soon.
