About
I completed her PhD on 3D Visualization for Archaeo-Geophysical Data in 2007 at the University of Birmingham in the UK. My specialization is in three dimensional visualization of remotely sensed and excavated archaeological data for a new perspective on non-invasive modelling and analysis of archaeological sites.
My research interests include data capture, processing and visualization of archaeological landscapes and integration of 3D terrestrial scanning models for complete geo-visually accurate environments for sustainable preservation and management of cultural heritage.
In addition to academic pursuits, I have worked in CRM, within the geophysical equipment manufacturing industry (Geophysical Survey Systems, Inc.), and as a geophysical surveyor and presenter with various television programs with National Geographic, Discovery, BBC and PBS.
Recent projects include geophysical mapping as part of the Euchairta / Avkat Project in Turkey through Princeton University and the University of Birmingham (UK) (http://www.princeton.edu/history/programs/special_projects/avkat/)
Geophysical surveys and site mapping for the Time Team America television program through PBS (http://www.pbs.org/opb/timeteam/).
Currently, I am the project leader for the Ancient Water Management of Stabiae project through Restoring the Ancient Stabiae group in Italy which is focusing on the assessment and implementation of sustainable site conservation methods through the study of the ancient water management of Stabiae (http://www.stabiae.com/fountation_site/usa/index.html).
